Ashley and Joe’s Coronado Wedding

Ashley and Joe’s wedding can be described as “simple elegance”. Attention to detail was key, and adding upscale elements to bring the brides vision to life truly brought this wedding together.  They were married at Mary Star of the Sea Parish and held the reception at Coronado Golf Course– the perfect backdrop for this bright bloomed wedding.

P.s. How cute are her Kate Spade hot pink pumps? We’re in love with the shot of them and the pink bougainvillea petals. DNA Wylie Photography did an incredible job capturing the day.

Every bride dreams of peonies at her wedding, if you don’t believe us go look at every bride-to-be’s Pinterest page! This bride’s bouquet from Root 75 was the epitome of glam with it’s huge, show-stopper peonies, and touches of garden roses and dusty miller.

When contemplating an outdoor cocktail hour or reception you have to take into consideration elements you can’t control, such as the wind. By repurposing a wooden champagne case into a flower box , we were able to place escort cards inside and account for the unpredictable. Centerpieces and other small arrangements were used in the space to add color and texture. The use of quality flowers, in moderation, allowed us to achieve the look of class without overdoing it. And because of that- funds were put into all the other important details that truly made this day what it was.

Sweet Cheeks Baking Company provided the beautiful one-tiered cake (adorned with a sweet ribbon and more peonies and garden roses), as well as the many bite size delectables on the lovely dessert table. We couldn’t be more happy with how this one turned out- congratulations Ashley & Joe!
